Library Card Sign-Up Month
•Stuffed Animal Sign Up
From September 1 through September 30, any child who signs up for a library card will automatically receive one for their fuzzy friends. Any child already signed up or unable to obtain a card can fill out a special Teddy Application to receive one.
•Book Giveaway
During the month of September, the first 30 children to sign up for a library card will receive one book from a list of selected titles. All titles’ literacy levels range from early years to late elementary school and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Available as supplies last. Teen Mood Board Book Covers
Saturday, September 7 at 2 p.m., 2nd Floor Town Hall
Is your aesthetic dark academia, cottagecore, girly pop, or something else? Show it off by making two personalized book covers! Bring your favorite book, journal, or folding tablet to measure and choose from an assortment of materials to create the look you want.
Suitable for ages 10 and up. Registration is required.
This program is presented in collaboration with the University Park Public Library.
Racing Rally
Saturday, September 28 at 2 p.m., 2nd Floor Town Hall
Join the Highland Park Library and Crafty Behavior in this bracket-style competition. Whether simple and sleek or brash and bold, everyone will get the chance to build their very own miniature race car and customize it to their heart's content.
Suitable for ages 5 and up. Registration is required.
