4th Annual Gratitude Gathering
Gratitude Gathering
Everyone is welcome to give thanks for the lovely fall weather, and every other good thing in your life on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Third Church of Christ, Scientist. We’ll be gathering in the parking lot at 4419 Oak Lawn, in Dallas for food and fun, and the opportunity to give gratitude to others.
As a part of Faith and Blue Weekend, our Gratitude Gathering kicks off at 10 a.m. with a Meet and Greet with local police officers, including donuts and juice. From 11-11:20a.m., they’ll give a presentation and take your questions.
Children of all ages are welcome to enjoy a bounce house, games, and live music. We’ll also have a photographer to take pictures and a Gratitude Wall, where you can tell everyone what makes you thankful. And dogs on leashes are welcome, too.
At noon, sandwiches will be provided by Ruthie’s food truck, followed by a welcome and chat with Kyle Ogden, president of the Thanks-Giving Foundation, which operates Dallas’ landmark park, Thanks-giving Square.
At 1:45 p.m., we’ll offer a closing prayer and you’ll still have time to catch plenty of football that afternoon! We look forward to seeing you!
